Cheyanne Jones, a beautiful and loved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, passed away from diabetes complication in her home on April 15, 2025 at the young age of 23. She was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised by her Nana Donna and Papa Jim.
Cheyanne was a fighter. She overcame many battles and strove for more in life, such as working toward completing her GED. She carried herself with a unique strength and touched the hearts of many people. She had such a silly side to her that you just couldn't help but to join and laugh alongside.
Although she endured many challenges, she continued to possess a contagious, childlike innocence and joy through her adorable giggle and bright smile. Chey was tenacious, resilient and at times, very stubborn! She was empathetic and always looking for a genuine connection with others. She was much more than surface level.
Cheyanne found joy in the simple things such as colouring, spending time with friends, taking bubble baths, watching horror movies and re-watching her favourite Disney Movies. As a child, she loved her Bambi blanket, as well as animals, which she continued to love growing up. She adored her cats, as well as spending time with horses and going for some short bareback trail rides.
Chey, our beautiful girl, will be deeply missed in the hearts of those she left behind. She is survived by her Parents, Amber Jones and William Kingsbury; siblings Natalia, Jessica and William; Grandparents Jim and Donna; Uncle Jamie (Dannielle); Aunty Anna (Randy); Cousins Nick, Brookie, Justin and Amy; as well as numerous great Aunts ( Aunty Lois, Marylee and Jovanna held extra special places in Chey's heart); Great Uncles and countless second and third cousins. She deeply loved and is loved by her Aunty Katherine.
A Funeral Service will be held for Cheyanne at Pierson's Funeral Service - Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate to Diabetes Canada in Cheyanne's name.
