Chloë Korrigan Rayburn

Chloë Korrigan Rayburn, age 28, of Rensselaer, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1997 in Rensselaer, the beloved daughter of Jeff and Susie (Lintner) Rayburn. Most of the year, Chloë spent time in the office with her Nana. Although she lacked a volume knob, she loved music. She was constantly singing-holding notes longer than anyone could imagine. Her favorites were Sesame Street, Blues Clues, VeggieTales, and The Beatles. She never had a sad day, but above all, Chloë was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Chloë loved snuggling with and FaceTiming her niece. Her dog Molly Jones was her faithful companion. She was always ready for a ride in "daddy's truck" and recently went on an epic road trip to Maine. She famously loved French fries and ranch. Chloë's life inspired many in her community to donate to autism research. For 13 years, Rensselaer hosted the "Chloë K 5k." Almost a quarter million dollars was raised for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR). Chloë is survived by her loving parents, Jeff and Susie; her brother, Zach (Victoria) Rayburn of Indianapolis; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Kathy Rayburn; maternal grandparents, Ron and Betty Lintner; aunts and uncles, Mark (Courtney) Rayburn, David Lintner, Rachel Rayburn, Jaime (Megan) Thompson, and Kinsey Rayburn (fiancé, Isaac); cousins, Maya Rayburn, Ewan Lintner, and Cora Blasius; and her cherished niece. We are forever grateful for the care and support Chloë received throughout her short lifetime. There was always a grandparent, a neighbor, a family member or friend who was there for her. We will always fondly remember the years she spent with the staff of the Rensselaer School system. Chloë was so very loved by many. Chloë suffered a lifetime of debilitating seizures making her dependent on others all of the time, but she was never a job to her parents; there was no greater gift than caring for Chloë during her 28 years on earth. She gave us more than we gave her. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. CST at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. A funeral service celebrating Chloë's life will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Marcia Smith-Wood officiating. Interment will take place at Weston Cemetery in Rensselaer. Memorial contributions in Chloë's memory may be made to the Good Samaritan Food Pantry of Rensselaer.
