I had the pleasure of meeting Chris when I was in my early 20's and was a waitress and a bartender at a local family-owned restaurant here in Waco, Texas. He, and a few others who would accompany him, became some of our most beloved regulars. On downtime at the restaurant, we would sit at the table with him and cut up and laugh. Lots of fond memories over the years I worked there with him as a customer/friend and definitely someone I will remember for the rest of my life. Guests like him is what made work enjoyable and fun. Sending my condolences to the family. One of his old friends from that time reached out shared the news. Thank you, Mr. Larry.

I´m in shock reading Chris´ obituary. He became my upstairs neighbor when he moved from Texas to Baton Rouge in 2020. He was without a doubt the best neighbor ever! He was always doing something nice for me....he pressure washed the fence because I mentioned in passing it looked ugly, he built a rock bed in front of my condo while I was out of town, and was constantly leaving presents, ice cream, flowers for Mother´s Day and pastries. I baked him cookies and got him hooked on stuffed cabbage rolls. I always made enough so he could give his parents some when he saw them at Christmas. I would also supply him with LSU football and basketball tickets which he loved. I adored his dog Lucy...she was such a good girl and would come downstairs to see me for hugs and kisses...I missed them a lot when they moved to OK.
He was a good son and was always calling his mom! I know his family/friends must be in shock and my condolences go to his parents and Nick. I met him several times when he´d come to La. to see his dad. My heart goes out to all of you.
