Chris James Reda, age 66, resident of Shelby Township, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, in his home. Chris was born on February 7, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan and grew up in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Beloved father of Nathaniel (Mary) Reda, Nicole (David) Dwyer, Samuel Reda, Gabriel Reda, and Malachi Reda. Loving grandfather of Isabelle, Chloe, Madeline, Jack, and Jonathan. Dear son of Doris (Weiss) and the late Frederick Reda. Brother of Karl (the late Denise) Reda, and the late Craig Reda (Jacqueline). His Golden Doodles Calvin and Sadie will miss him dearly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and loved seeing his children and grandchildren happy. He loved fishing, puzzles, coaching softball, playing euchre, and family game nights. Chris was a long-time member of Trinity, Utica and St. Lorenz, Frankenmuth. He spent his free time rebuilding classic cars. He was an avid collector of stamps, elephants, and die-cast cars. He enjoyed visiting with his Xcelerator Auto Club friends in Frankenmuth. Chris had a kind and generous spirit and loved to laugh. He was always working on a project or two as he enjoyed working and helping his friends and family. He will be missed by all.
Visitation at the Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke)
Utica Friday, October 7 from 2-8 pm. Instate at 10 am on Saturday, October 8 from Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke, Utica until the time of service at 11 am. Interment Christian Memorial Gardens Rochester Hills, Michigan.

I was shocked to hear of Chris's passing. I didn't know him well but always enjoyed talking with him in church and watching his lovely family growing. He was and great father as far as I could. My sympathy goes out to all his dear children. Sincerely, Sally
