Chris Rowell, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his residence by his loving family on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was born on June 20, 1968, in Jeff Davis County.
Chris dedicated twenty years of his life working as an exemplary employee at Eason's Convenience Store. His commitment and dedication to his work made him a valued member of the team. Additionally, he worked at Nails Propane, where he brought the same level of passion and professionalism.
Beyond his successful career, Chris's true joy in life came from spending time with his loved ones. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed creating lasting memories with his family and friends at the river. Whether it was fishing trips, swimming adventures, or simply enjoying nature's serenity, Chris treasured those moments dearly.
A man with a warm and compassionate heart, Chris touched the lives of many through his kindness and genuine care for others. His presence will forever be missed by all who had the honor of crossing paths with him.
In addition to being survived by countless cherished memories held by all who knew him, Chris leaves behind a loving family who meant the world to him. He is survived by his adoring wife of fifteen years, Angie Rowell; three children, Clay Rowell (Jerri-Ann), Taylor Watson (Thomas) all of Baxley, and Jaden Nasworthy of Valdosta. Chris also leaves behind his precious granddaughter, Annalee Watson. He is survived by his mother, Nina Hill Rowell of Graham, and a sister, Christy Tillman (Derek) of Graham; a niece, Erica Tillman; and a nephew, Caleb Tillman, and aunt, Connie Nail of Graham.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nobles Funeral Home located at 85 Anthony Street in Baxley, Georgia.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 5th, 2024, the service will be beginning at 11:00 AM at Nobles Funeral Home with Brother Bryan Gill and Brother Brian Brazzell officiating.
Interment will follow in Graham Methodist Church Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers are Chuck Nail, Brett Nail, Neil Lightsey, Tony Rowell, Tim Rowell, and Greg Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers is Dr. Roberson and the Summit Group, Coastal Hospice, and Nails Propane Employees.
During this challenging time of grief and reflection, let us remember Chris for the remarkable person he was. His unwavering devotion to his family, warm heart, and adventurous spirit will be forever etched in our hearts.
The family will be gathering at the home of Clay and Jerri-Ann Rowell at 4215 Oscar Tippins Rd. Baxley.
