GROVER-Chris Saldo, 52, died Monday, April 11, 2022, at Atrium Health Cleveland.
A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Judy Saldo and the late Donald Saldo.
Chris was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who was a long time employee of Kings Mountain High School. Chris enjoyed working at KMHS, he truly found his calling and purpose as a member of the Mountaineer family. Chris worked not to simply earn a paycheck but to serve each and every kid that came through the school doors. He enjoyed making a positive impact on students lives in anyway he could each and every day. Many students have testified to the impact that Mr. Saldo had on their lives. Students have even remarked that Mr. Saldo had such an impact on their life that it help to turn their life around and help lead them to Graduation and their future success. Outside of school his life was his family especially his girls. In addition to his mother, He is survived by his loving high school sweetheart of over 32 years, Lisa Caveny Saldo of the home; daughters, Kaitlyn Saldo and fiancé Tyler Jackson and Jada Saldo; granddaughter, Brynlee Jackson; sister, Donna Boone and husband Mike; brothers, Terry Saldo and the Rev. David Saldo and wife Wendy; mother and father in law, Jake and Louise Caveny; brother in law, Tim Caveny; sister in law Tina Cloninger and husband Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Barnes Auditorium on the campus of Kings Mountain High School with the Rev. David Saldo officiating. The family will speak to attendees following the service.
