Christian Jay Bates age 36 passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 in Pearl, MS. Christian Jay Bates was born to Eileen Bates and Christian Sandifer, Jr. on July 17, 1988, in Hattiesburg, MS. 

As the first-born son to Eileen, he was cherished by his Mother and siblings. He’s well known for being “The Cook” and the one to call on when in need. Although he had no children of his own, he was the greatest Uncle. He always had a big heart and loved spending time with family and friends. 

Christian was preceeded in death by his mother, Eileen Bates; father, Christian Sandifer Jr and brother, Augustus Sandifer. 

He leaves to cherish his loving memories 6 sisters, Iranetta Bates, Iyelle Gutter, Timberly Donkor, Eileen R. Bates, Chelsea Bates and Tyra Bates; 1 Brother, Tyren Bates; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Funeral Services for Christian will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Gateway Baptist Church in Lumberton, MS with Visitation from 10:00AM- 12:00PM followed immediately by official Home Going Services at 12:00PM officiated by Pastor Eddie Sandifer.
