Funeral Services for Pastor Gary H. Rouse, age 62, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00am at The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and also on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Burial will be in Burgetown Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. David Linder and Bro. Clay Rouse will officiate the service

A native of Picayune, MS, he was the Pastor and a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Gary retired from Winn Dixie at the end of 2024. He then became full time Pastor at his church, he was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, flowers, anything outdoors. Pastor Gary always loved to see people smile. Making people laugh was a joy to him. His favorite book was the Bible, he was very knowledgeable in scripture. He really loved the history of the Bible. He loved music and to sing. Pastor Gary will be deeply missed by his family, friends and church family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Rouse Sr.; brother, Malcolm Rouse Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara Ann Rouse; children, Charity Lee, Israel (Christina) Rouse, Arrow (Stephanie) Rouse, Lance Rouse; grandchildren, Levi, Landon, Legacy, Johnathan, Mya, Arrow, and Alex; great grandchildren, Ayden, Astrid, and Jasper; sisters, Marilyn (Lavone) Lee, Kathy Rouse; nieces, nephews and friends.
