Debra Freibert Mills

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Debra Freibert Mills, age 74, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Friday, September 19, 2025. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, with a service following at 3:00 pm at the McDonald Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Anthony Joseph Mills and her parents Andrew Edward and Gloria Arceneaux Freibert.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark Anthony Mills and Matthew Allen Mills (Brittnie), Nicholas Joly; her two grandchildren, Coby and Kaden Mills; her sisters, Daryleen Moran, Darnell Lodriguss and Dale Trapane (Frank) and her numerous nieces and nephews.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana she graduated from Nicholls High School and was a member of the Crazy Girls. She was a homemaker for many years. A.J., Debbie, Mark and Matt moved to Mississippi in 2000. All who knew Debra, better known as "Debbie", knew that her greatest love was her family. She was a constant and unwavering source of support for her children and grandchildren and always there to celebrate their joys and offer an understanding ear during their struggles. Her heart was vast and compassionate and her kindness extended to everyone she met. Debra found immense joy in music and was often the first one on the dance floor, with a passion that brought joy to everyone in the room. She was always fun to be around and was known in the family as the "favorite aunt". She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.
Services are under the direction of the McDonald Funeral home. The Lodriguss family will officiate at the service. Please join us as we celebrate her life.
