Eric Wells Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Boyd Family Funeral Home on May 24, 2025.
Eric Wells entered this world on November 9, 1985. In New Orleans Louisiana and on May 13, 2025, he peacefully transitioned into eternal rest. At only 39 years old, his- time here may feel short. but his presence left a mark that will never fade. Eric wasn't loud. He wasn't flashy. He was solid - a quiet soul with a loyal heart, and true homebody. He found peace in being indoors, surrounded by the people and things he loved. Family, rap music, and his favorite wrestling matches. He didn't need much to be happy - just real love and his space. Eric loved in the way that matters most steadily and without conditions, if he rocked with you, he showed it. not through big words, but through consistent action. His support never came with announcements, it just showed up. That was his language, and his love. He was a proud graduate of Frederick A. Douglass High School. Eric carried the resilience of New Orleans in his walk and the love of family in his core. He wasn't the life of the party, he was the one holding it down in the background, making sure his people were good. You might not hear him first, but you'd always feel him. He was welcomed into eternal life by his father Willie Wells, and his grandparents Willie Johnson and Althea Wells, who all no doubt greeted him with pride and peace. Those left to honor and hold his memory close include, his loving mother, Susan Ann Williams, his twin sister, Erica Wells, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Four other sisters Jessica Wells, Ashley, Diamond, and Tatiana Williams three brothers, Calvin, and Jaz Williams, and Justin Wells. Four nieces, and six nephews who knew and felt his love deeply. A host of extended family and friends whose lives were touched by his steady presence and unwavering loyalty. Eric didn't chase attention. He gave love, quietly, consistently, and authentically. That kind of love, the real kind, lives forever. Family and friends are invited to attend The Homegoing Celebration Service on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA for 1:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment is private.
