Bill E. "Billy" Brown

Bill "Billy" E. Brown was born on August 9, 1964, in New Orleans. Louisiana to the late Betty Lee (Tiny) Brown and Louis Ruffin. Affectionately known as "Billy" or "Uncle Billy", he was the youngest of seven siblings, all of whom he loved dearly. At an early age, Bill gave his life to Christ, a faith that guided him throughout his life. He graduated from Frederick A. Douglass High School and later began his career in the hospitality industry, following in the footsteps of his mother and brothers. Bill was a Christian man whose faith never wavered. No matter the challenges he faced, his trust in Christ and his understanding of his worth in God remained firm. He leaves to cherish his memories to his sisters: Ann Hamilton and Brenda Brown Chapman, brothers: David Brown & Louis Brown along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and neighbors. Preceded in death by his parents, Betty Lee (Tiny) Brown and Louis Ruffin and sisters: Vanessa and Gwendolyn Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, September 20, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at Gentilly B. C., 5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122.
