Funeral Services for Richard Boyce Culpepper, age 85, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at New Palestine Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2025 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at New Palestine Baptist Church.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Walt Barnes will officiate the service.
A native of Poplarville, MS, he was a retired Iron Worker and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. Richard was a United States Army Veteran. He was a avid gardener, he was known as the "Tomato Man". Richard grew many vegetables over the years and sold them in the community. He enjoyed outdoors, loved fishing and hunting. He loved his family they brought him so much joy in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Albritton Culpepper; children, Tammy (Vick) Pervel, Deirdra (Ken Newman) Lawrence, Harl (Susan) Penton; grandchildren, Jordan (Rebecca) Penton, Jonathan (Christiana) Penton, Lanie (Jeremy) Smith, Brian (Hannah) Lawrence; great grandchildren, Hunter and Ayden; long time family friend and caregiver, Debbie Magee; brother, Carey Culpepper; sister, Sherry Culpepper and Grace.
