Mr. Aldridge was born October 3, 1994 in Lancaster, SC a son of Sheila Ann McClain. Cody attended CPCC of Charlotte and earned his Associates of Science degree from American Public University. He was employed with Highland Industries of Cheraw and was a former employee of PPD Labs, having worked in both their Austin, TX and Middleton, WI facilities.

A young man who lived his life to the fullest, Cody possessed an adventurous spirit that guided his accomplished life. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and spending time in nature surrounded by God’s creation. One of his passions was traveling, and just recently returned from a trip to Cancun and Panama. He will be remembered for his character above all other. Not only was Cody a hard-working young man, he was the epitome of a selfless, compassionate, non-judgmental friend. With his loving and kind disposition, he had the ability to make everyone feel as if they were truly his best friend. Through everything he faced in life, even in the midst of sickness, Cody never lost his smile.

Mr. Aldridge was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary E. McClain.

Those left to cherish his beautiful memory include his beloved mother, Sheila McClain of Pageland, SC; brothers, Andrew (Colby) Aldridge, Joel (Chelsea) Aldridge both of Monroe, NC, Jonah Aldridge, Jacob (Alissa) Aldridge, and Joshua Aldridge all of Pageland, SC; his nieces and nephews whom he adored, Kash, Emilyn, Jett, Caden, and soon to be arriving, Brynlynn.

Also surviving are his maternal grandfather, Richard McClain of Jefferson, SC; aunts and uncles, Sherry (Sonny) Brooks, Brandon (Ashley) McClain, and Jamie (Cammie) McClain all of Jefferson, SC; numerous cousins including, Mitchell (Candace) McClain, Nick, Connor, Liam, Blake, Emma, J.D., and Mason; and his 2 rescue cats that were his babies, “Lily,” and “Litten.”
