Christian "Chris" Barrymore Collins, 22, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on November 11, 2025.
Born on May 20, 2003 in
Chicago, Illinois, Chris grew into a young man whose quiet strength and deep faith guided him throughout his life. He loved the Lord wholeheartedly. Though often a man of few words, when he spoke, his insight, humor, and quick wit left a lasting impression on all who listened.
Chris was exceptionally smart, funny, and witty. His passions-basketball, music, video games, cars, and anime-brought him joy, but it was his family he loved most deeply. He carried a calm, steady presence that brought comfort to those who knew him. For the people who loved him, life will never be the same.
He recently completed trade school and proudly began his career as an electrician, a path he worked tirelessly for and wholeheartedly embraced. His dedication and work ethic shined through in everything he did.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Lionel Barrymore Collins II, who passed away on December 15, 2024, and his grandfather, Lionel Barrymore Collins I, who passed away in 2013. He is survived by his loving grandmothers, Leona Collins and Esther Rosado, and grandfather Jose Torres. We find peace in knowing he is reunited in God's care with his father and grandfather.
He is also survived by his loving mother, Madeline Torres, step-mother Kimberly Dwan-Collins; his siblings Samantha, Jessica, Barrymore, Kyle, Ryan, Kennedy, Braden, and Mackenzie; his nieces Laila, Alani, and baby girl Brown; his nephews Isaiah & Maverick; his brothers-in-love, Adam Welton and Tim Brown; and his brothers-from-another-mother Micah, Jaden, and Zaylan Welton-all of whom shared in Christian's joy, laughter, and companionship in recent times. He is further cherished by many relatives and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
"To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted…
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance."
Ecclesiastes 3:1–4
"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
