---------------------------

Kelly Leo Malonda, "K.K."; miracle baby, age one year and one month; of Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood, passed away unexpectedly November 10, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.

When Kelly's mother was seven months pregnant, she received the devastating news that her son would be born with Trisomy 18 and probably would not live for more than a few days, if at all. As it turns out, Kelly was a very strong baby and quite a fighter. He made it through heart surgery when he was only two months old and was part of the 5-10% of babies with Trisomy 18 to see their first birthday. He was truly a miracle baby who loved to be touched and massaged, he would laugh and laugh!

Kelly was deeply loved and adored by his mother Aissatou Solail of Albany Park IL, his uncle and aunt Alexis "Alex" Klamadji and Rita Marie Claire of Indiana, and his grandparents Kodi Klamadji and Martine Naneloum of Chad.

The family wishes to thank all the other supportive friends and relatives for their support, but especially his home nurse, Aurora Bailo, for the care and guidance while his mother continued to work her job at Hotel Zachary.

Visitation Monday, November 17, 11am (mass begins 12 noon) at Saint Ita Catholic Church, 5500 N. Broadway, Chicago. Procession to Graceland Cemetery for burial immediately following mass.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Trisomy 18 Foundation: https://trisomy18.org/.

-----------------------------------------------
