Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory - Georgetown on May 29, 2024.
The word "wonderful" is said and used all the time. It should be used for the best in life and for the special people who bring forth happiness to others and whose kindness illuminates everyone around them. This is my brother and who he was and who he is.
Christian Wilson Reid, affectionately known as Chris to his many friends around the world brought peace, laughs and an ever-lasting friendship and calm to those around him. Christian was born on November 25, 1979 in
Houston, Texas. His legacy of being in spirit and peace continued until he passed away on May 22, 2024 in
Round Rock, Texas.
Christian searched and believed in tranquility and finding an inner peace within himself. His loving nature and belief in family was evident every day. His spirit, his smile and his aura will be a part of his family and friends, guiding each of them towards comfort throughout life and their inner spirit.
Christian Wilson Reid is survived by his mother, Jane and his three siblings. His younger brother Clifford, his sister Christina and his oldest brother, Christopher. His memory will continue with his niece and nephews, Naya, Joshua, Jeremy, and Jeffrey.
In his life, Christian worked many jobs, but his legacy was his skill in customer service and IT tech support. It is here that Christian assisted and touched the lives of his customers and his co-workers. He was well-respected in his work and had an uncanny work ethic that was evident each day. He left an indelible mark on each person he met and each person he spoke to. His co workers and those he met in his travels made them and the world better.
Christian's passion in life was in his dreams. Our brother loved to spend time laughing and smiling amongst family and friends. As a young child he did not like sports, but as he got older, he followed the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He loved music and art and drew as he worked. His real passion was travel. He loved cruises and visiting different places. He was keen on the ocean and the Caribbean. Theses trips and dreams helped him work towards his goal of moving to St. Thomas. Christian loved his routine, and the simple things in life, but the islands, his family, his cat Chiba and friends were what he valued and loved.
He was optimistic despite hardships in life. Christian was resolute in trying to do what is right. The years of helping his father with his health and sacrificing his career and personal life was who he was. He gave and did not take. He embraced the love for those around him at his own expense. He found time when he could for himself, but that was not his goal or focus. It was helping others. His kindness and humility made everyone around him better and showed his love and his loyalty.
Christian was strong and optimistic about the world and people. He did not hate, he did not give up, and he did not shy away from a challenge. He had goals and he let us embrace his love in our own way. It is the moments and minutes of each day that will define us. It was his belief in embracing you spiritual Ohm and calming the mind.
Though he is gone, Christian will forever be in our hearts. His legacy and his spirit will flow through us. Though we are sad, it is his personality and his love that will inspire all of us to do better, to do what is right, and to smile. As we remember in our own way, it is important to remember his smile, his laugh, and his want of family to be together. Christian touched many lives and he made the world a better place with his aura. Let us celebrate the good, the calm, the kindness, the humility, and the dreams he had in his remarkable life that he embraced around the world. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend. Christian and his story will continue in all of us. Christian Wilson Reid will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit, characterized by generosity, warmth, and a love of life, family and friends will forever be in our hearts.
Funeral arrangements and service will be held at The Gabriel's Funeral Chapel in
Georgetown, Texas. Arrangements for a celebration of his life will be held on June 1st, 2024.
Namaste Christian
