Beloved father, husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew
Christian Gregory Rudge was born on December 25, 1983 to Maria and Albert Rudge in Manhattan, New York. God called him home on October 27, 2023 at 39 years old.
On August 11, 2020, Christian began dating the love of his life, Michelle M Pica, and although their time together was cut tragically short, those three years they spent together were his happiest. There was nothing they loved to do more than date night at new restaurants in Manhattan.
In June of 2021, Christian and Michelle welcomed their son Carmine Albert Rudge to the world. Christian was an extremely dedicated father and was always happy to spend as much time as he possibly could with his "little munchkin." Although Christian loved going everywhere with his son, his favorite place to take Carmine was always the zoo. They bonded over their love for animals, insects, and reptiles of all kinds. And of course dinosaurs.
Christian resided for the majority of his life in Bay Terrace, only to later relocate to Great Kills with his family. Christian was a longtime parishioner of St. Clare's Church, having graduated from their grammar school, and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
When Christian wasn't cooking a delicious meal or spending time with his wife, son, and puppy, he could be found at the gym. He was extremely dedicated to his health and fitness and was always preparing to train for different bodybuilding competitions.
Following his graduation from Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School in Brooklyn, New York, Christian worked at his family owned butcher shop until they eventually went out of business. He then was heavily involved in helping his older brother Edward Rudge with his start-up business. The rest of his career was all based in construction. More recently, Christian received his license to become a personal trainer. He was currently in the process of becoming a life coach and receiving his Counselors Certificate so he could help others through their struggles.
He was an active member of both Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and tried to go to meetings daily. He wanted to take part in the meetings even when he was struggling because he said the love and acceptance he felt in the room was inspiring and unmatched.
A Mass for Christian will be held on November 4th at 10:15 AM at Saint Charles Church.

My first memory of Christian was our time spent together at St. Clare School. He was always having fun and making others laugh. When Christian and I first reconnected later in life, he was instrumental in getting me back involved in physical fitness. We would go to the gym at 4am, talk about life, our goals and our children. He will be deeply missed. I am forever happy that I had an opportunity to spend some time with him recently and that my memories of us as children are not all I will have to hold on to.
