Noe Funeral Service - BeaufortChristie Day Jones, 58, passed away August 15, 2025, at her home in Rural Hall, NC, after a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service to honor her special memories will be held at 11 am, Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Free Will Baptist Church on Lola Rd in Cedar Island, NC. Donations to the Cedar Island Free Will Baptist Church in her honor are welcome and appreciated.
Christie grew up in Cedar Island, Stacy, and Morehead City. She was a graduate of West Carteret High School and earned her BA degree at Forsyth Community College.
She was born on Christmas Day and she enjoyed celebrating it. Her greatest joy in life came when she met her husband, George Jones, and then the arrival of her only child: Casey; who brought so much joy to his parents. Since graduating High School, he has been a caregiver for both parents who succumbed to cancer.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Casey Jones; father, Carleton Day, Sr.; brother, Glen Day (Patty), of Cedar Island; half-sisters, Elizabeth Guilland, Deborah, and Sharon; half-brother Monnie Fulcher, Jr.; special cousins, Rhonda Brown (George), of Marshallberg; Claudia Goodwin, Rosemary Daniels (Mike), and Buddy Goodwin (Angie); special aunts, Yvonne Day, Agatha Goodwin (Leroy), and Nancy Willis; uncle Gilbert Day (Connie) of Asheville, NC; and numerous cousins in Texas and other places.
Preceding her in death, her mother Nancy Fulcher; brothers, Terry Day; beloved grandparents, Claude and Myrtie Day; and uncles Lester Paul (Ira) and Rodney Day.
