Christie held her cosmetologist license for more than 50 years. She worked as a School Lunch Lady for Liberty Middle School and was a homemaker. She was a long time member of Cunningham Christian Church and Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Ivanhoe Chapter of The Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sherrina Murphy of Wichita, Aaron (Angela) Murphy of Cunningham, Jim (Kathleen) Badders of Wichita and Connie (Malan) Bontrager of Hutchinson; brother, Fred (Nancy) Badders of Wichita; 7 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Christie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Murphy; brother, Creed Badders; sister, LaQuinta Leatherman; and infant brother, Chris Badders.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Cunningham Christian Church with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Iuka Cemetery, Iuka.
Memorials may be made to West Kingman County Education Foundation.
