It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christina Renee Turman Dunlap, who left us on September 29, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on July 1, 1980, in Virginia, Christina was a spirited and caring soul who spent her life in Gastonia, NC, where she not only embraced her roles as a devoted mother and loving wife but also shone brightly as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the home health industry.

Christina was known for putting her family first, always surrounded by the warmth and love she shared. Her passion for art was evident through her beautiful drawings and coloring, which brought joy not only to her but to those lucky enough to witness her creative spark. Christina's kindness extended beyond her artistic endeavors; she always put in the effort to lend a helping hand wherever she could, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Frank and Lottie Walters, and Roscoe and Dorothy Turman, as well as her step-siblings, Ashley and Josh Dowdy.

Christina is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Dunlap; her parents, Charles Turman (Diane) and Kathy Dowdy (Mike); her siblings, Brandy Weseloh (Jimmie), and Summer Reeves; her stepbrother, Kenneth McNicholas; her cherished children: Marcus, Austin, Keion, Dominque, Dezmond, Kenzley, Nyasia, and Drizton; and several nieces and nephews and loved ones.

Christina will be remembered and missed dearly by family and friends who knew and loved her.

In her honor, may we all continue to embrace kindness and creativity in our own lives, just as she did.
