Christina "Tina" D. Rodriguez, born on December 26, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in the same city she loved dearly. Tina was a remarkable individual whose vibrant personality and kind heart touched the lives of everyone she met.
A graduate of Sunnyside High School, Tina exhibited a strong-willed nature that defined much of her character. Known for being a little bossy at times, she was also feisty and outspoken, yet her love and nurturing spirit remained evident throughout her life. Her family cherished her unwavering desire to help others, and her laughter brought joy to countless moments shared with friends and loved ones.
Tina took great pride in her role as a mother and nana. Her children, Ashlie Robillard (Paul Ultsch) and Celeste Robillard (Douglas Dunne), were her pride and joy, and her grandchildren, Daymian Ahumada, Jazmyn Ahumada, Devin Dunne, Lucas Dunne, and Aubriana Dunne were the apples of her eye. She enjoyed spending time with them, creating lasting memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Beyond her family, Tina had a variety of interests that filled her days with happiness. She found enjoyment in doing puzzles and watching game shows on television. In her younger years, she showcased her athleticism as a softball player, demonstrating her strong competitive spirit. Tina's affection for her dog, Baxter "Doodles" Huerta, was also a defining aspect of her life, illustrating her deep connection to her furry companions.
Tina leaves behind her life partner, Joe-Mike Huerta; her beloved parents, Carlos "Bobby" and Anita Jimenez; her siblings, Patsy Felix, Carol Holguin, and Carlos "Pelon" Jimenez; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who will always remember her warmth and kindness.
She is preceded in death by her cherished dog, Baxter "Doodles" Huerta, who was a loyal companion throughout her life.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Tina's life at a memorial service on October 16, 2025, at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, AZ from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. This will be followed by a Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. and, subsequently, her burial at Southlawn Cemetery.
Tina's spirit and legacy will continue to live on through the love and memories she created with those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her heartwarming presence will always remain in our thoughts.
