Christine M. Carrieri

Christine Marie Carrieri, 78, of Enfield, CT, passed away on October 4, 2024. She was born in Ludlow, MA, on December 9, 1945, to the late Ann M. Salli (Stabach) and Augustino B. Salli. Chris graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA and went on to receive her certification in Cosmetology from Mansfield Academy. She worked as a beautician in MA and CT and retired after a long and successful career. She was a skilled hair stylist and generously provided her services to family and friends after work hours. She loved spending time with her children, grand-children, sisters, and friends. Chris had many hobbies including jewelry making, quilting, sewing, crafting, and baking cakes for every occasion. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She created many herbal remedies for family and friends. She was a country music fan, danced whenever she could, and also taught country line dancing. She loved plants and flowers and obtained a certificate as a Master Gardener. She painted beautiful works of art, was a member of the Tobacco Valley Artists Association (TVAA) and earned several awards at numerous exhibits. Chris was a sun worshiper and her happy place was at the beach, where she would enjoy relaxing, reading, and the serenity of the ocean. Chris was a wonderful and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, and will be sorely missed. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Richard Salli of Ludlow, and her sister Linda Libiszewski of FL. Chris is survived by her daughters Darlene Belle-Isle of Chicopee, MA and Carla Carrieri of Enfield; her son Jesse Carrieri of Tolland and his wife Jessica (Formeister); the light and loves of her life, her grandchildren Derek Paquette and Ryan Paquette of Enfield, and Mia Carrieri of Tolland; her sisters MaryAnn Kubicz of Central, SC, and Deborah Salli of Springfield, MA; and many other precious family members and friends. At Chris' request, there will be no funeral or services at this time. In lieu of memorial gifts or flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
