Christine Hernandez Castillo

Christine Hernandez Castillo, 69, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on April 3, 2024.
Memorial services will be at 4:30 P.M., Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Emanuel Burgos officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Christine was born in Garden City, Kansas on June 29, 1954, to Steve and Sarah Hernandez. She graduated from the original Amarillo High School. Christine worked for BSA Hospital as a PBX Manager in the IT Department for over 20 years.
Christine loved spending time with her family and had a servant's heart. She put everyone before herself and would have food provided for anyone in need. Christine loved being active and was often found going to the gym, playing volleyball and baseball, Tejano dancing, or going to Zumba classes. She especially loved holidays and will be remembered for her pumpkin bread and Easter bunny cake. Christine was always taking photos and creating memories.
Christine was a God-fearing woman; she was one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Castillo; parents, Steve and Sarah Hernandez; and siblings, Yvette Bustillos, Sarah Renteria, and Don Hernandez.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Ramirez; children, Eric Castillo and wife Amanda, and Kristen Garcia and husband Kurtis; grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, Lauren, Adrien, Kambree, Kaislee, and Kamryn; siblings, Steve Hernandez, Arthur Hernandez, Jeannie Morales, and Corrine Zambrano; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
