Christine Alana Chamberlain, 54, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, died on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, Virginia after her courageous six-year battle with cancer.
Her mother, Jaz M. Curtin, half-brother Michael Huntsberry, aunt Diane Hottle and step father, Charles Huntsberry along with his wife, Donna Knight were at Christine's side as she made her final journey into God's waiting arms.
Christine is also survived by her half-brother, Brian Huntsberry and along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. After graduating from Handley High School in Winchester, Virginia, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she studied art and film making.
Christine was a very talented visual artist who enjoyed working in several mediums including acrylic paints, pen and ink, charcoal, paper collage and stain glass. She even took a welding class 'just in case.' She thought of her artworks as her true voice, her talented way of bringing so much beauty into the world.
Fooling a radar camera by covering herself and her car in aluminum foil won her a coveted spot on the Mythbusters television series for two seasons.
Known as the cat whisperer, Christine shared her home several beloved cats, who will continue to be loved and well cared for.
Services for Christine will be private.
In honor of Christine, donations to the Blue Ridge Hospice Care Center would be appreciated, where a staff of true angels took such beautiful care of her and her family during this time.
