CHRISTINE MARIE COLE
PORTLAND - Christine Cole, 59, passed away unexpectedly on October 4th, 2025, at Maine
Medical Center. She was born September 22nd, 1966, in Portland, the daughter of the late
Carol (Chase) Austin, and the late Everett "Gary" Austin.
Christine loved her daughters, but her greatest joy was found in being a nana. She never knew
love as deep as she did when her granddaughters Alexa and Victoria were born. Her favorite
color was pink, and she loved (and was equally annoyed by) her two cats, Waffles and Lola.
Christine worked for many years at local businesses, and she was well known. She always had
a smile and a moment to talk to anyone she saw. Christine loved music, and was always current
with the talent shows on TV.
Surviving are her siblings, brothers Todd Burke and his wife January Burke, and Brian Austin,
and sister Michelle Fabbo; her daughters Natasha Cole, and Katelyn Cole and her partner Miles
Galope, and her granddaughters Alexa Liles, and Victoria Cole. The family would like to thank all of the clinical staff at Maine Medical Center for their wonderful care of Christine, and the support given to the family.
Visiting hours will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday October 14th, at A. T. Hutchins, 660 Brighton Ave.
Portland, Maine.
One night in a dream, I walked with the Lord by the beach. There were two footprints, mine and
the Lord's. But during tough times, I just saw mine and I wondered why. So I asked the Lord,
"Why leave me alone when I was down?" The Lord said, "My precious child, I never left you
during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints. It was then that
I carried you
