Christine M. Davis

Christine Davis, beloved daughter of the late Vertis Turnipseed Sr. and the late Dazerine Turnipseed, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on January 14,2025. Born on March 19, 1946 in Jonesboro, Georgia, Christine was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Christine was united in marriage to her late husband, Garfield Davis, and together they created a legacy of faith and family. She was a dedicated and nurturing mother to Rodney Murphy, the late Felicia Murphy, the late Tamara Davis, and Joel Mondale Davis. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren the late Joshua Robinson, Miracle Davis, Josiah Boston, and great-granddaughter Paeyton Davis.
Christine's love of family knew no bounds. She leaves behind six devoted siblings: Margaret McDaniel (James), Ola McDaniel, Virginia Johnson, Ira Turnipseed (Angela), Kathy Willis (Larry), and Vertis Turnipseed Jr., also one aunt Catherine Norwood and one uncle James Turnipseed.
Her life was filled with compassion, kindness, and an unwavering faith that touched everyone she encountered. Christine was also a beloved aunt, and friend who created a lasting impact in the lives of many. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Christine is preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Davis; her parents, Vertis and Dazerine Turnipseed; her daughters, Felicia Murphy and Tamara Davis; her grandson, Joshua Robinson; and her beloved brother, Erwin Turnipseed.
Though Christine's journey on earth has ended, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. She will forever be remembered for her selfless love, gentle spirit, and enduring strength.
