Fanwood, NJ passed away on April 29th surrounded by her loving family. Chris was born on August 28th, 1945, in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George and Margaret Farrell.
Chris graduated with honors from Richmond Hill High School in 1962. She was voted Class Actress and was involved in many of the school's theater and musical productions. She joined the United Fruit Company in Manhattan as an executive secretary where she met her longest and dearest friend, Maria Theresa (MT) Gil del Real Romano. In 1980, Chris married her beloved, Jeffrey B. Morris. As Christine described Jeff, "He's what every boy thinks he's going to be when he grows up. And wishes he had been when he's an old man". Together, they raised their blended family- John Charles, Kerrin Eileen Malatesta and Craig Bromfield Morris in their loving home in Warren, NJ. Chris loved to have witty conversations with her son-in-law, Ralph Malatesta and loved her grandson Michael and was so proud of his accomplishments. Chris enjoyed spending time with her nieces, Erica and husband, Rob and grandniece Ainsley, Margo and many other friends and families.
As an adult, Chris took up and became proficient at English saddle trail riding and participated in tennis, paddle tennis and golf. She always had a knack for organizing social occasions and had many quips and stories involving music while remembering songs from her parent's era up through the 1980's popular music.
She relished concrete under her feet and loved the walkable restaurant and theater richness while living as empty nesters in Manhattan and Philadelphia.
She had strong interest in numerology and was quite proficient at reading Tarot providing guidance and insight to many friends and relatives. She and Jeff traveled quite a bit, and she loved her girlfriend trips with cousin Dana Walsh and MT.
Remaining to cherish Chris' memory are Jeff, John, Kerrin & Ralph and Craig and Mike. Her two brothers George and Dennis Farrell along with her sister, Shaughn have passed.
Her wishes are to have a Celebration of Life at Plainfield Country Club at a date to be determined.
