Christine Helen Nickerson, 60, of
Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on September 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Christine was born on July 4, 1965, in Dorchester, MA. Christine spent much of her childhood growing up in Plymouth with her three sisters, all close in age and just a year apart. As the third in line, she was surrounded by love, laughter, and the lively energy of growing up with her sisters. She cherished her childhood and treasured the close bond she shared with them. She spent her teenage years in Hull, where she attended Hull High School, serving proudly as captain of the track team and making lifelong friendships. She later earned her degree in Economics from Southern New Hampshire University, where she made meaningful friendships and had the opportunity to study abroad in London.
Christine went on to build a distinguished 35-year career as a Human Resources executive. Known for her professionalism and compassion, she left a lasting mark on colleagues and employees alike. Before starting her family, Christine spent much of her twenties traveling, going on adventures, attending concerts, and enjoying cruises, all while making lifelong friends along the way. Later, as a devoted single mother, she shared that same sense of adventure with her daughters, taking them on trips and cruises, creating memories together that will last a lifetime.
While she was proud of her career, Christine's greatest joy was her family. A devoted single mother, she dedicated her life to raising her daughters, Brooke Albert (25) and Camryn Albert (23). She also carried in her heart her late infant son, Jake Albert. Christine's strength, love, and selflessness shaped the lives of her children and inspired everyone who knew her.
Christine had a deep love for the simple joys of life-long walks, flowers, HGTV, Fourth of July cookouts, and her favorite beaches Rexhame and Fieldston. She cherished time with her friends and family, always putting others before herself, and her very favorite thing to do was host gatherings where family and friends could come together. She especially loved sharing family traditions and holiday celebrations that will continue to live on through those she loved. Her motto, " Why wait until tomorrow when it could be done today," reflected not only her hardworking nature but also her belief in living fully and with purpose.
Christine leaves behind her devoted daughters, Brooke and Camryn Albert, and her mother, Joanne Nickerson. She also leaves her sisters, Sharon Russo, Pamela Bistany and Sandra Nickerson, and her brothers, Kenneth and Tim Nickerson. Christine's memory will live on through her niece, nephews, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and warmth. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Nickerson Sr., and her infant son, Jake Albert.
A funeral service to celebrate Christine's life will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street,
Marshfield, MA, followed by a reception at the Fairview Inn, 133 Ocean Street,
Marshfield, MA. Per Christine's wishes, we kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing black to the service. Wearing colors is encouraged, as she wanted the service to be a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lustgarten Pancreatic Research Foundation at: https://hope.lustgarten.org/fundraisers/ChristinesCrewforaCure with additional information available at the reception.
Christine will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving daughter and sister, and a loyal friend. Her strength, generosity, and caring spirit made a lasting impact on everyone she met, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
