Christine (Armenti) Piazza, wife of the late Joseph J. Piazza and daughter of the late Angelo and Adele (Tavani) Armenti, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, just shy of her 100th birthday.
Christine had a love of music which she inherited from her father, who played several instruments and sang in the choir. She began piano lessons at eight years old and continued for many years. She also studied organ and began playing at church when she was 16, playing at many other local churches over the years. Besides playing piano and organ, she loved going to operas, orchestra concerts and ballet. She was a graduate of the former Bridgeport High School, class of 1943, where she was an honor student. She worked in a law office, insurance office, and the design department at James Lees & Sons. She also volunteered at the Holy Saviour Rectory for many years. Christine and her loving husband shared over 60 years of marriage and enjoyed traveling together.
Surviving are her three sons of whom she was very proud: Charles R. (Linda) of Carlsbad, CA, Thomas J. (Darlene) of Phoenixville, PA and Richard J. (Jean) of Harleysville, PA. Adding to her happiness were her 6 granddaughters: Maree Watkins (Gerry), Renee Mora (Jason), Lauren Matson (Caleh), Bailey Piazza, Kendal Piazza, and Tess Anna Gorchesky; and her only grandson, Joseph Richard "J.R." Piazza. Christine was so happy to have 4 great grandsons, Nate Watkins, Langdon Mora, Everett Mora, and Blake Matson. Christine and her husband, Joseph, loved all their grandchildren and great grandchildren and always looked forward to being with them. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Christine is survived by her brother Angelo Armenti, Jr. (Barbara) and preceded in death by her two sisters, Pauline Romano (John) and Frances Salamone (Joseph); and her brother, James Armenti (Charlotte).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Christine's viewing on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401 from 9am to 9:45am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am. Interment will be held in St. Patrick Cemetery, E. Norriton, PA.
