Chris Smyth, 55, of Desert Hills, Arizona passed away on November 8, 2025 with her family at her side. Chris is survived by her husband Brian, her son Trevor, and her daughter Ashley. Chris was born on October 4, 1970 to Glen and Eileen Mahan and she was the youngest of three children. She was born in Ohio and at the age of 16 her family moved to Fountain Hills Arizona.
After high school, Chris studied radiology and started a career at Scottsdale Shea hospital before becoming a mom and homemaker. Chris was married in 2000 and her two beautiful children were born in 2002 and 2004. She was a wonderful mother who was dedicated to her kids and supported them in any way possible.
Chris enjoyed a variety of hobbies that focused on crafting and artistry, including designing custom signs, shirts, accessories, necklaces, quilting, scrapbooking and other activities. She enjoyed putting a smile on people's faces by crafting gifts for people around her. Chris will be remembered for her outgoing personality that helped her connect with anyone she met. She enjoyed family camping trips, going on cruises, going to the beach, and visiting the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Services for Chris will be private. My sincere condolences to the family of Chris. We've been friends for 45+ years and I have always looked forward to her adventures on FB. She cherished her kids, husband, & Dad.
Thanks for teaching me how to ride a unicycle when I came to visit my grandparents on Muirfield!
Gone too soon, my friend. You'll be missed by many.
