Charles Kenneth Hood

Charles (Chuck) Hood, 78, of Buffalo, WY, passed away peacefully at his home in Fountain Hills, AZ, on October 28, 2025. Chuck was born in Sheridan, WY, on August 27, 1947, to Kenneth and Florence Hood. Kenneth and Florence raised young Charles and his sister, Cherry, in Reno, NV. Following school, Chuck served four years in the Navy, where he learned machining and manufacturing, skills he used to later open Hood Machine, a successful business in Sparks, NV. He married his wife, Donna, in 1994, and they shared 31 years of marriage. Together, they had fun boating on Lake Tahoe, traveling to places like Hawaii and New Zealand, and exploring all corners of the country, from Maine to Alaska. Upon retirement, Chuck and Donna relocated, spending summers in Wyoming and winters in Arizona. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He's survived by his wife, Donna Hood, son, Don Waters (Robin), daughter, Susan Hood (Michele), nephew, Kevin Clausen (Barbara), the Kimble family, and granddaughters Sylvie, Annie, and Olivia. Chuck will be remembered as quiet and generous; he loved music, mountains, and the open skies of the west. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in Buffalo, Wyoming on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
