Chris Banks, 55, of Irondale, passed away August 16, 2024, at the De Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. He was born November 7, 1968, in Fredericktown, MO, to the late William and Kathern (Horton) Banks, Sr. Chris enjoyed his outdoor activities, such as fishing, hunting and trapping. He was a self-taught craftsman who enjoyed tying flies, creating lures and crafting bows and arrows.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Banks Sr.; grandparents, Ernie and Betty Horton, Walter and Marie Banks.
Chris is survived by his mother Kathy Banks; brothers, Billy (Tammy) Banks Jr. of Montgomery City, Aaron (Stacy) Banks of Ashland; nephews, Tucker and Garrett of Montgomery City, Nathan, and Houston of Ashland; along with other family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10 AM until time of the memorial service at 11:30 AM with Pastor Tony Hampton at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Memorials may be made to C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home to help with the expenses.
