Christopher Curtis Beam, 39, of Bourbon, Indiana, and formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at home. Born on August 11, 1985, in Fort Wayne, he was the beloved son of Alan Beam and Valerie Peltz (Wallace).
Chris was a lifelong mechanic who found joy in working on cars, a passion he shared with his dad. Most recently, he was pursuing his CDL license, eager for the next chapter. Known for his big smile, fun-loving nature, and deep devotion to his family and friends, Chris had a special way of bringing laughter to those around him—especially his nieces, nephews, and the younger kids in his family. A kid at heart, he never missed an opportunity to make others smile.
Chris had many interests that brought him happiness. A devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, he also had a deep admiration for lions and a special love for animals, especially his dogs. He was an enthusiast of rap and hip-hop music, movies, and video games, and he was well-known for his exceptional grilling skills—his smoked pizza was a favorite among family and friends.
Chris is survived by his mother, Valerie (Kirk) Peltz; his father, Alan (Margo Davis) Beam; his sister, Crystal (Patrick) Oxley; his brother, Robert Beam; and his stepsiblings, Jennifer and Jason Higginbotham. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces, Allie and Marlee Oxley; nephews, Dylan and Connor Beam and Cody Charters; and many extended family members who will always carry his memory in their hearts.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw, Indiana. A service honoring Chris will follow at 7:00 PM, led by his family and friends.
Memorial donations in Chris’s honor may be made to Titus Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Condolences and cherished memories can be shared online at www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
Chris’s light, laughter, and love will never be forgotten.
