Christopher Hugh Becnel

Christopher Hugh Becnel, 48, of Mobile, AL died on May 5, 2025. Chris, also known as Bec or CBec to his friends and family, was born in Nashville,TN to Rebecca and Timothy Becnel. As a child he was an avid collector and trader of baseball cards and would go on to become a dedicated basketball player in high school in Long Beach, MS, winning the school's Slam-Dunk contest as a senior. Chris earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice in 2001 at the University of South Alabama. While there, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served as chapter Vice-President.

Chris excelled in his business career, earning numerous awards for his salesmanship. He ended his career in Mobile at Express Employment Professionals. Chris was known as an engaging sales rep who reached out to his clients and fellow employees.

Chris is survived by his son Ethan; his parents Rebecca (Becky) and Timothy (Tim) and his wife Karen; his sister Lauren and her husband Neil; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life is planned on June 29, 2025 at 2 pm at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf on 155 South Water St in Mobile to honor Chis' 49th birthday. Friends and family members are encouraged to share stories and memories of Chris at that time.
