Christopher Benavidez

CHRISTOPHER BENAVIDEZ, 48, was born on December 9 th, 1974, in Houston, TX. He sadly left
this world into eternal rest on February 1 st, 2023. Chris was a loving husband, son, father,
brother and uncle. He was a devoted, hardworking man with a strong work ethic who leaves
behind a great legacy at his place of employment with ITC. During his time at ITC, as an
operator, he earned his license and became a part of the Emergency Response Team. He loved
his Tejano and Conjunto music. He also enjoyed dancing, barbeques and spending time with
family and friends, every chance he had. He was a genuine soul that was always willing to lend a
helping hand. He will be dearly missed and leaves behind many family members, friends and
coworkers to cherish his memories. He is survived by his loving Wife, Laura Benavidez; Mother,
Mary Pallanez and Stepfather, Pablo Salinas; Son, Robert Benavidez; Stepchildren: Heather,
Mike, Damien, Joshua, and Zachary; Step-grandchildren: Andrew, Annmarie, Michael, and
Amelia; Sister, Michelle Pallanez-Reyes; Nephew Angel Vasquez and Nieces Mariah Reyes and
Marissa Reyes. A viewing will be held at Compean Funeral Home, on February 12 th, 2023,
between 4:00pm – 8:00pm (Rosary scheduled to start at 6:00pm). The Funeral Service will be
held on Monday, February 13 th,2023 at Compean Funeral Home. The gravesite burial to follow,
will be held at Forest Park at 1:00pm. The family would like to show their appreciation for all
prayers and support during this difficult time. "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die,
we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's"
