Christopher Michael Blanton, a devoted husband and an amazing father and grandfather, passed away on January 9, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri. Chris was the son of the late David A. Blanton, Jr. and Bernard C. Blanton, and the younger brother of David A. Blanton III, and a native St. Louisan, born on October 31, 1947. A true child of the Sacred Heart, Chris attended the former Barat Hall. He was a graduate of one the earliest classes of the St. Louis Priory School and he received a B.A. in Philosophy from Georgetown University in 1969.
Chris served in the United States Army, and it was there he met his bride, Captain Pamela Eileen Greer, ANC. They were married on April 15, 1972. Chris adored his wife and they were partners in everything. Chris became a proud father to Elizabeth A. Blanton in November of 1975 and Christopher M. Blanton Jr., followed in June of 1979. He loved and was loved greatly by his children. In 2023, his son, Christopher, married Naomi Stuart and he couldn't have been more excited when they welcomed his grandson, Christopher Michael Blanton III.
Chris earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in 1975. He was a senior partner at The Stolar Partnership LLP where he worked for the entirety of his legal career. He was an attorney for over 40 years and practiced Commercial Real Estate Law. He held an AV Preeminent rating, signifying top ethical standards and legal ability, as recognized by his peers.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela G. Blanton, his daughter, Elizabeth A. Blanton, his son Christopher M. Blanton, Jr., his daughter-in-law, Naomi J. Blanton and his grandson, Christopher M. Blanton III, and his many dogs.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the Villa Duchesne Chapel on a date in the future. boppchapel.com

I was very surprised and sorry to hear about Christopher's passing from a friend of mine & Happy's who lives in Kirkwood. Talk about a small family: Chris & David gone from Mimi's family and Kevin now the only one left on Virginia's side of the family. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Dear Pam and Elizabeth -
I am so sorry to learn this news about Christopher.
When you said in July that he was ill, I had no idea
how serious it was.
I, of course, knew him many years ago when he was
a student at Georgetown.
This event has got to mean a double loss for you all.
David always felt he only had a small family and now you are even more diminished.
