Mr. Christopher Neal Bryant, age 47 of Teachey, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Corinth Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Richard Phillips and Rev. Sammy Boone. Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace. He is survived by his mother, Anna Bryant, three daughters, Kristyn, Patyn and Jaycie and their mother Amy, a brother, Darrell Bryant and wife Lori, a sister Amanda Hickman and husband Billy, nieces and nephews, Kayla Sears and husband Josh, Carly Bryant, Brandon Hickman and wife Jewel, Brandi Hickman and husband Hugh, Kandice Freeman and husband Tater, great nieces, Hayven and Cami and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Born February 5, 1966 in Wilmington, NC, Mr. Bryant was the son of Anna (Johnson) Bryant and the late John Cleveland Bryant, Jr. Neal was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he loved working with the youth. Neal loved operating cranes. He spent over 20 years in that profession which included working for All Carolina Crane. He was the kind of person that never met a stranger and would always bring a smile to your face just by being around him. Neal also loved sports, especially when it came to the Bulldogs, which he was a faithful fan. In his spare time, Neal loved riding his 4 wheeler and his motorcycle. Casketbearers are: Danny Earl Sanderson, Steven Smith, Mike Bond, Chad Brooks, Gary Hall and Larry Horrell. Honorary bearers will be Weston Padgett, Josh Sears, Tony Johnson, Graham Boone, Danny Boone, Jerry Dempsey and Gregory Johnson. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct, Glen Allen VA 23060-9979 or to Wallace Rose Hill Booster Club, In Care of Jeff Hargrove, 602 Highschool Road, Teachey NC 28464.
