It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Salvatore Cannizzaro, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world far too soon. Chris, aged 29, was called home to our Lord and Savior on December 17, 2024. He was known for his bright and gentle spirit that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His love, laughter, and passion in life will be dearly missed.
Chris was born in Newburgh, New York, on September 29, 1995, to Mary and Christopher Cannizzaro. He was a beloved brother to his younger siblings Stephen and Amanda Cannizzaro. He was a loving uncle to his niece, Baylor Cannizzaro, and his two nephews, Kasen Cannizzaro and Kellan Harrington.
Known for his lively nature, Chris found happiness in the simple pleasures of life whether it was sharing a laugh with his family at Sunday dinners, or competing fiercely in cornhole tournaments with his friends. Chris's love of cooking also brought friends and family together, where he created a warm and cheerful atmosphere by sharing his culinary delights. His enthusiasm for life brought people together and created cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Christopher leaves behind a memory of kindness, positivity, and love. He is survived by his loving family, and is preceded in death by his grandparents, Salvatore Cannizzaro, and Carole and John Fay. We will forever carry his memory in our hearts. While the world feels a little dimmer without him, his spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives he touched.
In honor of Christopher, let us celebrate the joy he brought to our lives and the enduring mark he leaves behind. We invite friends and family to join us in remembering the light that was Christopher Salvatore Cannizzaro on Saturday December 21, 2024. Receiving hours will be from 2-3pm., and a memorial service will be held at 4pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. May he rest in God’s perfect peace as he is deeply loved and will be sincerely missed.
Chris was a devoted cat parent to his beloved Basil, who brought him immense joy and comfort. In place of flowers, the Cannizzaro family requests that donations be made in his honor to nearby cat sanctuaries or animal shelters
