Christopher Martin Carter was born on May 23, 1977 and passed away on October 30,2025.
Christopher is survived by his partner, Caren Joy Carter, and his children: Alexis Bria Carter, Taylor Martin Carter (Erika Carter, daughter-in-law), Khylee Mekenna Carter, and Mia Success Carter. He is also survived by his honorary children: Caide, Kaisha, Isake, and Cherish Garcia, and his grandchildren, Naomi Joy Carter, Boss Odin Sanford, and Leonidas Taylor Carter.
He is also survived by his parents, Guy A and Wendy J Briggs; his sisters, Bobbi Jo Carter, Ashley and Kerrie Thometz, Brandy and Brad Morrill, and Leslie and Don Hood (brother-in-law); and his brothers, Wesley Carter and Matthew Carter. Additionally, he is survived by his grandmother, Nancy Clair Boyce, and his grandparents Arnold Duane and Rita June Briggs. Christopher also leaves behind lifelong friends Travis Erickson and Christa Zacherson Roland and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arvil and Claudia Carter; his father, Kevin Martin Carter; his mother-in-law, Judy Garcia; and his sister Monica Carter.
Chris was an avid lover of the great outdoors. He loved playing and coaching football, hunting, camping, and blazing trails on his 4-wheelers. However, his greatest joy was seeing the lights in his children's eyes as they grew and became strong, happy adults. After a long battle coming back from brain surgery, I asked him if it wasn't time to get back to creating a legacy to leave behind for his children. He said, "I have no regrets, I love my children with all my heart; they are my greater achievement and my legacy." With a sad heart, I give him grace to fly with the angels.
Sincerely,
Wendy Briggs
