Christopher D. “Chris” Caskey, Sr., age 35, of Mt. Holly passed away March 29, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Chris was born in Charlotte on August 9, 1981 to Jeff Caskey and the late Sabrina Ann Barkley Caskey. He was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all who knew him. Chris loved dirt biking and camping with his family. He was an avid Duke Blue Devil Basketball fan and was an artist. He helped design his tattoos, enjoyed all music, dancing and enjoyed physical fitness. His biggest love was his children and his family. Chris is survived by his children, Sabrina Kaitlyn Caskey, MaKayla Caskey and Christopher D. “CJ” Caskey Jr.; Brother, Michael Caskey (Christy); Grandparents, John Barkley, Sr. and Joyce Causby; Aunt, Audrey Fogarty; and Uncles, Johnny and Steve Barkley. Memorial Services to Celebrate Chris’s life will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Benson Funeral Services in Mt. Holly. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
