Christopher "Chris" P. Lamb, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on January 13, 2025, at the age of 28. Born on March 29, 1996, in Louisville, Kentucky, Chris was a proud resident of New Albany, Indiana, where he made a lasting impact through his role as a manager at Taco Bell. His engaging personality and work ethic shone brightly.
Chris was a devoted father, and his son, Chanyce Lamb, meant the world to him. Their bond was one of pure joy, each moment spent together treasured like a precious gem. They truly were two peas in a pod, and the moments they shared will be cherished forever by those who knew them. They attended several events with Savannah Smiles.
In addition to his role as a father, Chris was an avid UK Basketball fan. He found immense joy in cheering for his team, often sharing spirited discussions about the games with friends and family. With Chris being a UK Basketball fan and his mother being a U of L Basketball fan he always found ways to tease her and loved to aggravate her all the time. His love for video games also provided him with countless hours of enjoyment, whether he was diving into exciting virtual worlds or enjoying friendly competition with loved ones.
Chris will be deeply missed by his mother, Janna (Butch) Graham, who nurtured him with love and support throughout his life. His siblings, Brandon McRae and Dennis Mouser, hold dear the memories of their times spent together. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Chesley (Sue) Mouser, as well as by his aunts Cristy (Troy) Smith and Beth Davis, and great-aunt Lois (Mark) Ault. His cousins, Brendon, Amber (Corey), Emily, and Cullen, keep the spirit of their time with Chris alive in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sharon Beauchamp, and his great-grandparents, whose love continues to be felt by his family.
A visitation in honor of Chris will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. A funeral service will take place following the second visitation on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Chris's gentle spirit, contagious laughter, and compassionate soul will remain etched in the hearts of those who loved him. While he may have left this world too soon, his legacy of love and the memories he created will resonate for years to come.
