Christopher Conroy
Of Deposit, NY
Christopher Conroy, 71, resident of Deposit, NY and previously of New York City, passed away peacefully at home, on September 27, with his wife by his side.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Eve (Szembek), his beloved Golden, Max, and his devoted mother Ann. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Ulrich (Joe), nephews, Matthew and Kevin and nieces, Kaitlin and Katie, along with several great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, William.
Chris moved to Deposit 23 years ago to enjoy all the area had to offer. He had been an active steamfitter for over 30 years and a proud member of the Steamfitters NY city local 638.
He had a love of, and an appreciation for, the outdoors. He enjoyed fly fishing, riding his motorcycles, taking care of his property, along with spending time with his friends and family.
Chris was a real independent thinker and never shied away from sharing his opinions. He was a true fighter and took on every challenge bravely and head on.
He cherished the time he and Eve spent in Canada with her sister, Tina, brother in law , Fred and niece Katie, along with their many visits to his home in Deposit.
Chris will be greatly missed by his family and his many supportive friends.
