Christopher Diamond Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home on Jan. 22, 2026.
In Loving Memory of Chris Diamond

1966 – 2026

Christopher "Chris" Diamond, a key figure in the Philadelphia business community and a cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at the age of 59. After a courageous battle with lung cancer, Chris lived his final days with the same quiet humor, strength, and dignity that defined his life.

A Legacy of Hard Work and Partnership

A proud graduate of Radnor High School (Class of 1984) and Wittenberg College (1990). Chris eventually returned to the Philadelphia area to begin his professional life. Alongside his longtime business partner and friend, Doug Tunnell, Chris co-founded and built one of the largest commercial flooring companies in the Philadelphia region.

More than just a business owner, Chris was a leader who led with heart. He was deeply respected and loved by his employees, whom he treated like family. His team often shared how much Chris looked out for them-not only as workers but as individuals-offering unwavering support in their personal lives just as he did in the office.

Life Beyond the Office

Chris's true wealth was found in his relationships. He remained remarkably close to a lifelong group of Radnor High School classmates, maintaining friendships that spanned over four decades. Known for his "crazy stories" and legendary one-liners, Chris had a consistent ability to show up exactly when his friends needed him most.

Weekends were often reserved for his "poker family"-a loyal group of friends who gathered regularly for games defined less by the stakes and more by the laughter, camaraderie, and shared history.

The loving support of all of his friends was profoundly felt by Chris and his family during his final days.

Family and Survivors

Chris's greatest pride was his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Estelle (Mimi) Loughlin Diamond and Joseph Diamond. He is survived by his siblings Susan Diamond and Jim Campbell, Sandra (Diamond) Shapiro, and Richard and Theresa Diamond. To his nieces and nephews, Chris was the "cool uncle" who was always there with a supportive word, a dry wit, and a generous spirit.

Chris Diamond's impact on the lives of those he touched will be felt for generations. He will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the people he loved.

"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."

Shine on you crazy Diamond!

Relatives and friends are invited to Chris' Life Celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
