Christopher Downey Obituary
He was known for his infectious smile, smart mouth and funny comments. He knew how to make light out of serious situations. He never truly understood the lives he touched, and every one of us is so thankful and lucky to have had him in our lives. His passion for the Waverly Volunteer Fire Department and The American Patriot Vanguard was seen and known by everyone that met him. The light of our world got a little darker when he left us, but through his pictures and memories, we will make it shine bright again.
He is survived by his brother, Gregory Downey; sister, Catherine Hanson; nephews, Brian and Charles Downey; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel.

Chris you will be forever in our hearts. Your life was a solid example of perseverance- you chose life over much loss. Thank you for being a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, co-worker, and friend to all of us. Keep ridin,' my nephew. You will never be forgotten.
