Christopher Dredge Obituary

Visit the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, Cemetery - Cottonwood Heights website to view the full obituary.

Christopher Alan Dredge born December 11, 1984 and passed away September 26, 2025 in Rockford, Michigan.

Our loving son, brother, father and friend unexpectedly left us and graduated from this earth to be in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ and his loved ones who have gone before. We are missing him already. He attended Bella Vista Elementary, Butler Middle School, and Brighton High School. He grew up in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.

Those receiving him into their loving arms, besides Our Savior are his grandparents Charles and Merlene Saunders, Richard Alan Dredge and Maureen Totland, his Uncle Scott Saunders and Aunt Kelly Byrd.

We fondly called him “Bubba” a nickname derived by his younger sister Ashley. When they were little Ashley said, “That’s my brother,” but it came out “Bubba.” It stuck. He was also known by his friends as “deedz.”

Chris has 5 children, Maddex Rodney, Addie Suzan, Tillie Jane, Mila Lyn & Violet Ray.

Chris is funny, witty, quick, smart, stubborn and fiercely independent, a comforter and protector and a defender of his Mother, brother Nate, sisters Ashley and Lexy. He was protective of his family and threatened anyone that spoke bad or looked sideways at them.

A few sayings of memory from his siblings: Tina you fat lard, pointsetta, pointsetta, and some nicknames of his kids are Tilbean, Maddex the Bear or Mr boyyee, Addie girl, Log (Mila), and Chunka (Violet).

Chris loved to dance, he and some of his friends, had a dance group. Their signature dance was “Bye, Bye, Bye” by Insync. Chris was a great dancer and entertainer. He was also an avid reader.

Christopher served an honorable full time 2 yr mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from August 2004-August 2006 in the Connecticut Hartford Mission.

Chris is survived by his wife Jessica and his 5 children, his parents Rodney and Dana, his 3 siblings Ashley Higginson, Nathan (Torina) Dredge & Lexy (A.J.) Jones.
