Pam Shutt Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Pamela June Shutt was born August 4, 1960, to Barbara Gehring Shutt and Jerry Dawson Shutt. Pam passed away at home on September 22nd, 2025.

Pam graduated from Brighton High School in 1978. She began working for BD Medical on March 27, 1979 and remained working there for an astounding 46 1/2 years. This was her entire working career! She was a very dependable and dedicated employee who had an aptitude to resolve issues with machines to keep production moving. Technology never fazed Pam, she was always learning.

Pam was a very gifted and creative person. She was the fun aunt and could bring the room to tears with laughter and with her creative witty sense of humor. Her humor was often on full display with gift giving. She loved to give, and her gifts were often thoughtfully matched to the personality of the receiver.

Pam loved Star Wars. Her favorite characters were Yoda and Grogu, and her nickname became Yoda. Pam loved to crochet and could create anything out of yarn; from vests, slippers, blankets, bags, hats, dog beds, and much more. Her love for yarn will continue to give and bless many as a lot of her unused yarn was donated to an assisted living center that will use the yarn to continue gift giving to the local community. Pam's philosophy in crocheting is best summed up by Yoda, "Do or do not. There is no try". Pam loved "The Boys", Ruger and Milo, her nephew dogs as she would call them. She was known to make ice cream for the dogs and made sure they were at her house on the days she was off work.

Pam is survived by her mother, Barbara G. Shutt, her brothers, Randy (Karie), Brad (Rachael) and her nephews Dustin, Jeff (Mollie), Colby (Sage), Chase (Samantha), Dain, and her great niece and nephews Jayda, Carson, Jensen, Jericho, and Caleb. She is preceded in death by her brother Marty and her father Jerry.

A graveside service will be held at the Murray City Cemetery 5490 S. Vine Street, Murray, UT, at 1:00pm on October 3rd, 2025. Please wear casual clothes as Pam hated dresses.

Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the force. Pam, your circle of life was too short, but your memories will live in our hearts forever.
