Christopher David Fisk

Christopher David Fisk, age 59, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia after battling Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on December 12, 1965, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Arthur Edward Fisk and Shirley Ann Padget Fisk.
Chris was a devoted husband and a proud father. He poured his heart into his family, always beaming with pride over his children and the lives they were building. He was their guide, their hero, and a consistent beacon of comfort and hope. A passionate lover of the game of golf, Chris didn't just play, he lived through the game. He forged a dream into reality when he established Rum Creek Golf, a public 9-hole Par-3 course nestled in the local community. Not only was Chris able to bring both leisure and competition to the local community, but he was able to create a haven for his family and friends to cherish their passion of the game. Chris completely gave himself to nurturing and improving the course, preserving its charm while growing its community. Chris' charismatic energy and persona created a compelling feeling that showed you who Chris was and that no matter who you are on his course, you were a welcomed friend.
Chris was self-motivated and respected insurance sales agent who also brought the same drive and integrity to his personal life. He was raised in the Catholic faith and carried those teachings with him throughout his life. Fatherhood, selflessness, and mentorship were just the beginning of Chris' broad and impressive character. Chris leaves behind a life well-lived, a community touched by his kindness, and a family strengthened by his love. His memory will live on through his loving wife, Lisa Meyers Fisk; children, Steven (Edith) Fisk and Carrie (Ocean) Curvin; mother, Shirley Ann Fisk; siblings, Arthur Fisk, Rick Fisk, Mike Fisk, Kathleen Griffin, Mary Pat Califano, Margaret Fisk, Andrew Fisk, and Caroline Andrews; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Funeral Mass to honor Chris' life will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025 beginning 11:00 AM at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 1000 GA-155 N, McDonough, GA 30252. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorial contributions to be made in Chris' honor benefiting pancreatic cancer at PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).org.
