Christopher Gent Obituary

Adam was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 1, 1982 and passed away on July 26, 2025. Adam was a very happy and outgoing child. He enjoyed his daycare and preschool years where he had lots of friends and activities. He even had computer classes there. He loved climbing trees and playing Nintendo with the neighborhood kids. After high school, he worked in the food care industry and an assisted living facility but his happiest time was being a phlebotomist at Community Blood Center where he enjoyed talking to the various donors. Adam was divorced and had no children.
Adam was preceded in death by all his grandparents, his father Peter Gent and his uncle Mike Irey. He leaves behind his mother Dena Gent, his brother Aaron Gent (Liz) his sister Ruth Roessler (Chris), his nieces and nephews, Aunt Georgia Carpenter (Mike), Aunt Vicki Irey, Aunt Mary Martin (Dan) and Uncle Herb Sieg plus all of his cousins and his best friend and sounding board, Nick Ryan.
Adam hated clowns. When he was six and went to Disney World, the only way you could get a picture of him with a character was for him to stand somewhere behind the character and take the picture. He loved his OLD KC Royals ball cap and wore it everywhere and he loved his feline girls and when away from home asked how the "Girls" were doing – River, Coraline and Callie.
Adam's humor, his awesome hugs and analysis of the world we live in today will be greatly missed.
There will be no services.
