Mr. Gilbert was an Auto Detailer, and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother, June (Hal) Nelson of Symsonia; life partner, Sharon Prater of Paducah; son, Christopher James Gilbert of Paducah; one daughter, Kirsten Marie Gilbert of Lone Oak; two stepdaughters, Kathryn Lawrence of Paducah; Allison Lawrence of Sparta, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Gilbert; one sister, Dawn Michelle "Missy" Gilbert.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. John Smithmier officiating. Burial will follow at Provine Cemetery in Briensburg, KY.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to service time on Monday at the funeral home.
