Christopher S. LaCotti Sr.

Age 63, died after a short illness on December 12, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born on September 11, 1962 in Washington, D.C. and was the son of Theodore and Rita (Brooks) LaCotti.
Chris graduated from Edgewood High School, Class of 1980. Following graduation he attended Towson University, where he achieved an Associates degree. A few years later, he met his wife, Heather, while they were working at Citibank in Baltimore, MD. They married in 1993, and celebrated 32 years of marriage in August.
Chris began his career at Haddad's Trucking, Inc. in 1999, and for 26 years, worked in a variety of positions for the company. At the time of his death, he was in the accounts payable department. In addition to a wonderful career, Chris has made many lifelong friends at Haddad's.
Chris loved music, hunting and fishing and his friends. He was a longtime member of the Clairton Sportsmen's Club.
In addition to his father, Chris was predeceased by his brother Jonathan LaCotti. He is survived by his wife, Heather, daughter, Morgan and mother Rita from Pittsburgh. His son, Christopher Jr., from Colorado. Aunt Nancy Shimer and husband Craig from Pasadena, MD. Sister-in-law Melissa LaCotti and niece Sara LaCotti. Grandson Harlan LaCotti of Colorado.
Visitation will be held 3-8 p.m. on Friday, January 9 and a service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, followed by a luncheon at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, Pa. 15317.
